Today I am going to write about a new problem that occurred in my life and also for some of my friends. Below is the problem statement.
We needed to find school to our child and I actually stupidly thought that now we are in the internet era and will easily find schools near me online with all the details, reviews, ratings, comparison etc. Interestingly after searching for long, I could not find a single site which lists all the schools near my preferred location. Even if I found some sites, there was no data available, there was no way to compare schools and many schools in the close proximity were not listed at all. At last we have to check the schools physically, need to gather the information and than compare. Off course we couldn't cover all the schools. There were no reviews gathered as we live far from home and work in IT industry without much social life.
So, we realized that there is really a need of an online platform which can list down the schools in close proximity of a preferred location to user, provide an online tool to compare schools near to preferred location, provide online reviews of the schools, provide a facility to users to post reviews and rate schools, provide a way to directly interact with the schools and most importantly have all the schools listed.
After discussing this idea within our group, few of our friends actually took this up and agreed to develop an online portal for this. We sat together and did brainstorming on the features which shall be included. It took months to develop a school finder portal prototype and around 2 years to publish the website on the internet.
Finally our idea got a shape in the name of www.pracharya.com and functioning on internet which can find and compare the schools near to a location and provide the desired results. We really hope that it will further flourish and all the schools in India will understand the need and will support Pracharya.
In addition to schools, Pracharya also provides option to search and compare play schools, colleges, private coaching institutes etc in various categories and serves the purpose.
